Re: Been a while!!! Exige written off recently :(

Hi Chris Good to hear you are still about but shame about the car. Which ever option, make sure it is SC'd, makes it more fun :D . If you need the extra seats then I would go Evora but try getting you little one in the back behind which ever person they will be behind as the legroom is very small. A...

Phoenix Motorsport, Accrington. Very, very well known and a real Lotus specialist. Max 1.5 hour drive from you, probably less

Do know about the cost, I would guess £250 region but others will know better

Done Blyton twice now but still think it is a decent track to do again. I would have joined Mikeydude in August but already tied up that weekend

I'll stick my name down but flagging up now that whole of September I can't do

Re: Lotus bought by the Chinese, Good or Bad

The current chassis is still one of the best designed, and most likely very advanced for its original design date. At the end of the day, Lotus have been surviving off a very good product, so yes, I hope they do make new models, but I also hope they manage to keep the driver feedback with the new m...

Re: Lotus bought by the Chinese, Good or Bad

Financially I think it is good news as the change/improvement of the Volvo range since they were taken over has been impressive so if it means that Lotus can at last bring new models then that is good. As much as I love the current range it is still based on a floor pan and design from 20 years ago ...

Thread resurrection I know but Karl, can you still do the T-Shirt printing??

I've got a line drawing thing of a V6 Exige which would be fab on a T-Shirt.

Let me know

Many years ago when I had an S1 I took it to Chris Neils and they sent it back to the factory - it was to replace the plastic strip as well though - and it didn't cost the earth although not sure they still do that now? Another option could be http://www.thetrimtechnician.com/contact/ , never used t...

Re: GTE for sale

I'm with you on the price Xav, a bit strong for a left hand drive car I think.

GTE's look great but without any extra power over the standard Evora S of the time I am not so sure it is £110k great in that colour combo. Looks better in the darker colours imo

Re: Elise sprint overpriced?

Depends how you look at it I think. A base spec Boxster is 45k and no one ever has a base spec Boxster so you can add 5-8k on that in reality so the top spec Elise at 47k is almost a bargain. It is expensive compared to 'old' pricing but everything is, you will pay more than 20k for a Fiesta these d...
