Sorry Martin, only just spotted your post otherwise would have met up. That's a shame, would have been nice to meet up - Ribble Viaduct very busy, parking well down the road so didn't stop. It seems to be the way these companies operate, offer a good service free, hook people in and then when they are reliant on it slap a fee on it, good business but totally crap for the user.

I just hope they can make replacement parts more readily accessible, and pay supplier bills :unsure: Hopefully the cars will always be niche market rather than mainstream, as this will help their appeal and exclusiveness. Rather than folks seeing them and it not registering, say like a Boxster :P I...

It looks like they will be moving productions of China but keeping the HQ and design & development at Hethel. I have my reservations...

It seems official now that Lotus and Proton have been bought by Geeley, the same Chinese company that has revived Volvo's fortunes, but is it a good thing for the Lotus brand?

It would very unusual for an overseas buyer to pay cash, and as previously commented that kind of amount gets flagged at the bank. I would only accept a bank transfer and would only let the car go on cleared funds. Not sure on the V5 registration as the new keeper probably won't have a UK address so...
