Chuffin' roof!!

Post by Dave C » Mon Nov 07, 2016 8:09 pm

If I hadn't actually bought the car with the hardtop on I would have sworn it was made for a different one.

Bloody sick of the damn thing, 1 hour of messing about and still doesn't look like its seated properly :Censored: Had to walk away from it tonight or it would have been a 2 piece roof :Shoot:

I love the Lotus but the roof - in both options - brasses me off, my £600 MG even does it better

Perhaps its time for a porker!!!!!!!!!!!!

It must be the time of year, I put the hard top on the Elise today too!

If you're wondering whether it's the roof or the car you're welcome to try mine.

 , a lot less hassle Paul but also not so practical ;)

So took it off again, re-positioned it a bit and then tightening the middle clamp thing down before doing the corner ones and now it seems to be sitting OK.

Sufficient swearing and cursing still took place but at least it looks like it fits the car now :)

Thanks for all the useful comments :P :Friends:

Whilst on the topic of leaking roofs, can anyone refit Velux Windows?

(They're in the extension, not the Elise hardtop!) :P
