Always like following threads of people doing mechanical jobs I wouldn't have a chance doing.

Anyone got any plans for their Lotus over winter??

Going to take off the front and back engine mounts, to check that they are okay. Also going to clean the chargecooler.

Just finished putting 2 new gear selector cables on debs mini which has delayed me a bit but ive got to take the engine out to sort out a couple of oil leaks and I'm also replacing all the wishbone bushes with some nice spherical bearings, once I've tidied out the garage which is a major job in its self
I feel a change coming

Mine has been sat in the garage with the rear clam removed for ages now. Head gasgets weeping at the back of the block so was going to do a full strip down and rebuild of the rear end. Everytime i try to work on mine cazs either breaks or something else gets in the way. Caz decided she wanted to sort the house out so have spent the last few weeks wrapping the kitchen to give it a new look. Removing chimney breast redecorating blah blah. Will start a thread as soon as i get round to doing some actual work on the lotus.

Nothing major on the mechanical front as the car is in perfect running order, thanks largely to Ollie at Phoenix for fitting a full 2bular exhaust system and recent service/ mot. I am however planning to remove the wheels and give them a thorough clean and wax, and whilst they are off clean the wheel arches and springs etc. I have just purchased a ctec trickle charger to keep the battery topped up over the next few months, looks like great bit of kit. A full garage clear out, new workbench/shelf storage is also on the agenda.

Yes, sound great under acceleration with none of the drone that I got with the Janspeed at higher speeds. It also feels a little more responsive. All round really pleased with it. :fantastic:

Had my sill covers repaired and replaced by The TrimTechnician at Poulton near Blackpool. Great job and none too dear, either.
