Finally

Post by Martin 111S » Sat Feb 04, 2017 8:00 pm

Well, after the disaster that struck Tango 1, in Dec making sure it was well and truly knackered ( apparently someone bought it from the salvage co. £10 300, was the last figure I saw   )

I've resigned myself to the fact that another Burnt Orange Elise just isn't going to happen :( Truly loved that colour and thought it really suited the SC lines. They really are like the proverbial Rocking Horse stuff to find.

Took some well heeded advice, and have come to a decision - Metallic Orange is pretty good too :P

Of course wouldn't be complete without a little black either :Ok2:

Just remind me how much a kidney is worth ;) :)

So just to say you bunch of reprobates are stuck with me a little longer - roll on Spring, warmer weather and longer days :driving: :Horn: :Horn:

LOL - thought you liked arty farty yellow stuff :D I suppose really it needs a black bonnet badge

Not really got a good one yet - will have ago tomorrow - but it might need a clean first, after getting home today

Certainly will try to, although really I didn't have any involvement last time around :(

Apparently, they do ;) BUT Dave at Seriously Lotus does sell them too when he has stock ( he hasn't got any until March )

I really, really do like those wheels -and the only way to get a set was........................ :D :D

So I took this too yesterday - only one though :)

Oh Martin. Don't let this one get smashed up before you sell to me in a few years okay!!!

Can't wait to see it at a Buckles meet. Would love to make a NORLOG meet but I'm going to have to reserve that to once/twice a year i'd say. Really enjoyed my last visit.

Orange is orange to me and whichever shade of orange, I honestly would only swap my Aubergine for two other colours... One being Orange.

Wow! Gorgeous!

Can I sit in it? Can I have a pax? (what about borrowing the keys?)

Seriously, though, good choice!

Ps. I guess you've not had much chance to drive her yet, but how does it compare to the 'S'? (And was your 'S' a 2zz-ge or the 2zr-fe unit being shipped these days?) Does the cup250 feel massively different in both power and character?

Just wondering...

Cheers!

Thanks guys :Friends:

Dan - my old SC was the 2ZZ, so used to be able to rev to 9000 rpm IIRC - not that I did often but 8 was fun ;) Not had much chance no, its only got 205 miles on it now - 191 was bringing it back home. No idea power wise yet, but it does feel different obviously, time will tell really. Spoke to Ollie about it, and he seems to think that the engine tuning on it will make it feel similar to my old SC but obviously quicker - and the road holding should be phenomenal, apparently the aero pack really does work. But we really don't want to find out if its true :P

Yeah I suppose you can sit in it, got any slippers ? :D I might even start it while you're in there.
I've seen what other Norloggers do when borrowing keys to new cars, mentioning no names - JAMIE in the Evora demo

Just need to get the first 1000 or so miles done and get that service out of the way, so then the fun can begin :D

Mike - start saving mate, will be a while yet before this is going, planning on looking after it too.

It had been well specced, and with a some minor additions it feels right for me, but not to everyone's tastes obviously.

Took some pics today and if I get time will post em up.
