Soft Top Stitching

Post by Tickle » Wed Mar 29, 2017 12:08 pm

Hello,

I have a small bit of stitching (approx. 100mm) on my soft top that needs some attention. Can anyone recommend anywhere in the North West that does soft top repairs?

Cheers,

Mark

Many years ago when I had an S1 I took it to Chris Neils and they sent it back to the factory - it was to replace the plastic strip as well though - and it didn't cost the earth although not sure they still do that now?

Another option could be http://www.thetrimtechnician.com/contact/ , never used them but they have a good rep in the TVR circles

Regarding the http://www.thetrimtechnician.com/contact/ , I know some one who used him and he was ok. I gave him some work to do and he pretty much sat on it for three months with nothing but excuses. In the end I just went in and walked out with my stuff to which he had nothing to say. So go in with your eyes open.

I have used these guys a few years ago, when the tension cable pulled out of my roof. Chris Neil's put me onto them, not sure on cost as it was covered by Chris Neil. Redid all of the bits that needed doing while I waited

Might be worth giving these a try ?
http://www.lancashiresportsrepairs.co.uk/ They normally do sports clothing etc. But do repair tents so could probably do it. I've had jackets etc. done over the years and rates are very reasonable with quality work. Worth a phone call perhaps ?
