Evening all! Newbie saying hi

Post by Nathan » Mon Dec 05, 2011 10:39 pm

Hi everyone. Just picked up a 111R at the weekend so I'm pleased to find a local owners group :)

Wish I'd have discovered here earlier actually, would have been nice to have some local advice whilst I've been car hunting over the past few weeks..

I only just spotted you'd had a C&F meet yesterday too. Shame I missed it :(
I'm pretty new to the area (Holmes Chapel) and the road upto the C&F is one the few around here which reminds me of my beloved Yorkshire Dales!

When is the next one planned for?

hi nathan welcome along, tha cat and fiddle meet is usually the first sunday of every month, weather dependant this time of year, keep an eye on the meets and events section. there is a meet this wednaesday evening at the boatyard if you fancy it, should only take you an hour from holmes chapel.
I feel a change coming

Welcome Nathan

Perhaps with your knowledge of the Dales, you can help / advise with a run over those fine roads in the spring / summer. ;)

Thanks guys.
Can't make Wednesday unfortunately - a guy is coming to buy my Ducati :( (was part of the agreement with the missus for me getting an Elise!)

I used to really enjoy the run up over the Cat on my Ducati (when the weather was good!) especially the bit from Bosley crossroads, so I'm looking forward to taking the Elise up there :)

aww thats a shame youv'e got to get rid of the ducati they make the best noise on 2 wheels without doubt. i like the road from bossley to the cat better than the macc to the cat in my view, well up to the scamarras anyway :(

Hi Nathan and welcome to Norlog

Love the sound of Ducati :) I hope the Elise lives up to it for you - you will need a new exhaust :)

Yep, Ducati sounded great but I'll have another one some day, not ready to hang up the leathers for good yet :)

One of the reasons for the Elise is that my wife is expecting our third child (after a 9 year gap!) so this is me trying to do the sensible, responsible thing!!

I've only had it a couple of days and already thinking about go faster bits, so I'd be interested to see (and hear) other 111R's before changing anything. Still not driven it in the dry yet :(
