Hello!!

Post by minky » Thu Aug 16, 2012 11:44 am

Hi, just want to introduce myself as I'm new to NORLOG.

I live in Middlewich , Cheshire and run an Exige S 220. It's my second after foolishly selling my 1st Exige a couple of years back. I'll get a pic up over the next couple of days but it's a standard 220 in Arden Red with a 260 extended scoop roof, janspeed single exhaust exhaust with the panel eliminator and carbon induction kit being the only mods. I've been happy to not get tempted in upping the bhp after reading of potential gearbox issues

I've met 'Mill' from Chapel Milton (great guy, has given me a de-cat pipe which is being fitted tomorrow!) and he pointed me in the direction of these forums to get involved with meets etc. Unfortunately I'm away this weekend with work so can't make Tatton Park this weekend but looking forward to meeting a few of you soon.

Cheers

Welcome along!
Arguing with an engineer is a lot like wrestling with a pig in the mud; after a few hours you realise that he's enjoying it.

Welcome to Norlog....come and visit us at one of the Monthly meetings...we have one at the cat & Fiddle pub for the southern softies...and one at the Boatyard pub for the tougher northern types.

The details about the monthly meetings can be found elsewhere on the site.

There are other events happening throughout the year.

Hey Stewart glad you could make it along this is the next meet we are having instead of the cat and fiddle so would be a great place to meet all the regulars ( that's if they all get there bloody name down )
Glad you got the exhaust sorted too give the mil light a couple of hundred miles that's when if it is going to come on it will do but as long as you have used the extensions fingers crossed you should be ok :Headbanger:

I take it you are loving the pops and bangs then :D

Thanks for the welcome guys! Looking forward to catching up with you all.

Loving the pops and bangs Jamie, found out that I had a race cat already fitted so wasn't expecting much of a difference but it sounds much, MUCH better, not stupidly loud but a much deeper throaty sound and sharper throttle response :D And none of the petrol/fumes smell some owners warn about on other forums.

After this weekend which is your next meet?

Minky, either you're a whale, or you're trying to take the "norlog gay" competition up a nothc from dans pink car, my boxster, and oggy in general. Anyways, i'm sure you'll fit in :)

I'm afraid I'm no relation to the 'Minke' whale and have never owned a pink car though I have been a loud and proud owner of a Boxster in my time so maybe I do feature on the groups 'gaydar'! My only defense is that my nickname Minky comes from a night in a hostess bar in Japan. It's as random as it sounds.

If I'm not working I'll be at the next boatyard meet so looking forward to that though I will be on gaurd for any advances from oggy (sorry oggy, Graham started it not me) ;-)
