Saying hello and getting my second Elise

Post by MR.HOLMES » Mon Sep 14, 2015 6:29 pm

Hello all.

I'm chopping in my 111R and TVR Chimaera on Wednesday at Christopher Neils and picking up a blue Elise S. I'm looking forward to a bit of supercharged torque and eventually a bit of playing with a 2bular manifold and exhaust. According to the 2bular site that takes them to 240ish??? Is that accurate in anybodies experience? I'm already having a TRD airbox put on before I pick it up as I loved it so much on my 111R. Appart from that I think keeping it mostly standard and minted in the short term is the plan, there doesn't seem to be much advertised for S2.5/3 S in the way of mods unless I'm mistaken.

I hope to see some of you around.

Regards,

Simon.

Good stuff, you will not be disappointed with an SC Elise.

Look forward to some pics once you get it, also look on Meets & Events in the coming weeks as I have an idea for a run for October :)

Simon,
I doubt you'd get 240bhp - I think the ECU's now tend to limit the power you'd get. Still there's no harm in a new exhaust :) I can have a listen and decide if mine needs an upgrade ;)

I'd want a reasonable return for the £1700 the whole set up costs! I'll see how it goes for a while before I let the modding bug bite :-)

Hello and welcome! :)

I think the 240 would be possible but I think a remap is in order to achieve it, Jim should of told you that though so it might be worth a phone call to him to ask the question? That bloke really does know his stuff!

I'd disregard the horsepower anyways because his exhausts really do sound :fantastic:

P.S is is worth checking up on the remap and I think the manifold tends to mess with the ECU a little and it can run a little rough, Sam's actually cut out coming towards the end of the euro trip (it really did sound fantastic though!!)
